Some of the insurers also provides Pre-Authorisation so you can have better peace of mind before your planned treatment. Do note that Pre-Authorisation is only for scheduled surgeries or hospitalisation treatment, and has to be sent in 3 to 10 working days before the admission date.

GETTING PREPARED IN THE EVENT OF HOSPITALISATION
With Pre-Authorisation, you are not required to pay your bill, up to the Pre-Authorised amount, during admission and/or upon discharge,
However, Pre-Authorisation is only applicable for planned surgical or hospitalisation, prior to the admission and it takes at least 3 to 5 days for the approval. In the event of an urgent admission and you are not able to do a Pre-Authorisation, you may still be covered according to the terms and conditions of your policy contract and reimbursement will be made after discharge if the claim is approved.
